We handle personal data under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012. For people living in Japan, we also follow the parts of Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information that apply to overseas businesses.
Your date of birth
Date of birth, when you calculate. A date of birth typed on the top page is used only to calculate your code. It is kept for 72 hours in temporary storage so your result page can load, then removed. It is not written to our database.
Date of birth, for members. When you create an account you tick a box to agree, and your date of birth is then saved to your account to show your code and results. We record the date and time you agreed.
The course calculator (sinsosu.com/en/work/). This page calculates inside your own browser. The date of birth never reaches our server and is not saved.
What else we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. The password is stored scrambled, and we cannot read it.
- Cards you save for other people: the name you give them, how they are related to you, and their date of birth.
- How the site is used.
- Where sign-ups come from.
- Payment status. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store them.
Parents may save their children’s dates of birth; anyone under 18 should sign up only with a parent’s agreement.
Who we share it with
Only as needed to run the site, we share it with our hosting, email, payment and analytics providers, in Singapore, Indonesia, the European Union and the United States. We do not sell personal data.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember where you came from, and measure site use (Google Analytics). You can switch them off in your browser, but you will then not stay signed in.
Your rights
You can see, correct or delete your data. Removing a card deletes it. For anything else, write to hello@sinsosu.com.
